The Elvis Tapes Volume 1 CD [CD]

Comprising two separate and rare interviews with Elvis, one in Vancouver, B.C., in 1957, and the other in his home city of Memphis in 1961, these come from the private collection of D.J. Red Robinson, who served as Master of Ceremonies at the Vancouver show
It was a hot August night, August 31, 1957, when the city of Vancouver hosted the appearance of the King of Rock N Roll.
For the first time in history, a performer was appearing in a venue that would hold 25,000 people, Empire Stadium.
Elvis performed for only 25 minutes. Singing Heartbreak Hotel, Dont Be Cruel, Thats When Your Heartaches Begin and Hound Dog.
With the fear of the crowd Presley was ordered by his manager, Tom Parker, to wrap up the show and depart in his Cadillac parked behind the stage.
The interview took place in a stadium dressing room.
It was conducted by veteran DJ Red Robinson.
